TRM shut out in first round of playoffs

T.R. Miller ended its season Friday night, being swept by Wicksburg in the first round of the AHSAA baseball playoffs.
Wicksburg won 5-0 and 16-7 in the series.
In the opener, Colby Adkinson pitched a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts.
Kevin Davis of T.R. Miller pitched well, striking out 10 in a complete game. Caleb McAnally had two hits and Wes Dickey one for Miller.
For Wicksburg, Luke Miller had two hits, including a solo homer, Zack Maddox had a two-run single, Adkinson had two hits, an RBI triple, and Blake Sims had an RBI single.
In game two, Miller paced Wicksburg, earning three hits and five RBIs, highlighted by a three-run homer.
Adkinson had two hits and an RBI, Chad Holley had a double and RI and Maddox had a two-run double and a sacrifice fly for an RBI.
Aaron Jones picked up the win, working the first five innings.
For Miller, Davis had a two-run double and Cody Swain an RBI double.
