Mr. Guy Hamilton Diamond Jr., 82, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 in Century, Fla. He was a native of Jay, Fla. and a resident of Flomaton since 1992. He was retired from Monsanto and a member of the National Rifle Association. He attended the Cora Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Cassie Diamond Sr.; a sister, Burlenne Karlen; and his first wife, Lunllend Diamond.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Luverne Diamond of Flomaton; two sons, Johnny Diamond and Butch Diamond, both of Boatyard, Ala.; four daughters, Alice Malone of Century, Betty Peterson of Cottondale, Fla., Dianne Bondurant of Pensacola, Fla., and Janet Conway of Flomaton; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, James Diamond, Wallace Diamond and Marshall Diamond, all of Jay; and a sister, Mary C. Findley of Jay.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Ronald Broadhead officiating. Burial followed at Cora Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
