Mrs. Catherine Janice Thompson Sheehan, 84, of the Damascus community, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a resident of Brewton, a member of Ridge Road Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis L. Sheehan and James Franklin Sheehan; and a brother, Clinton Thompson.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Kay (Billy Wayne) Blackwell and Barbara Jean (James) Blosser, both of Brewton; a brother, Frank Thompson of Texas; four grandchildren, Heath Blackwell, Kellie Blackwell, Dennis Blosser and Timothy Blosser; and three great-grandchildren, Blake Blackwell, Brant Blackwell and Carson Blosser.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, at 2 p.m. at Ridge Road Baptist Church with Brother Lee Cadenhead and Brother Bob Eisenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Still Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
