Larry Richard Bailey

Mr. Larry Richard Bailey, 63, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at his residence on Bonita Avenue after an extended illness. He was a native of Kentucky and former resident of Pensacola, Fla., before moving to Brewton five and one half years ago. He was a substance abuse counselor and a United States Army veteran serving as a warrant officer (W-3) in which he served four tours of duty in Vietnam. He attended Brewton First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Craver Bailey of Brewton; three sons, Greg Bailey and Larry Joe Bailey, all of Kentucky, and Richard Bailey of Washington; one step-daughter, Farish (Steven) Dunn of Frisco City, one sister, Mary Litteral of Evansville, Ind.; and a number of grandchildren.

Gravesite funeral services with military honors will be held Monday, Aug. 16, at 3 p.m. at Union Cemetery with the Rev. John Mathieu and the Rev. Robert McWiliams officiating and Cravers Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Brewton First Presbyterian Church or New Life Apostolic Church on Ridge Road.
