Elouise Stallworth Moore

Mrs. Elouise Stallworth Moore, 96, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010. She was the fifth of 13 children born to the late Emmit and Pearl Stallworth. She attended schools in Covington County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ed Leigh Moore; and two children, Aaron H. Moore and Carl Moore.

She is survived by three children, Edna (Howard) Moore Mitchell of Bristow, Okla., David L. (Cliffie) Moore and Claudine Moore, both of Brewton; six grandchildren, Dr. William Howard Mitchell, Kimii Mitchell-Natt, Pamela Moore-Powe, Dr. Ian (Rashida) Moore, Monica Moore and Marquaita (Tyron) Moore Smith; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Davis of Honolulu, Hawaii and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 24,, at 11 a.m. at Second St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Blue and Pastor Cora Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
