James Pittman

James Pittman, 63, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. He was a native of Wallace and a resident of Brewton. He attended Southern Normal School in Brewton and had been employed with CocaCola in Sarasota, Fla. After returning to Brewton, he was employed at T.R. Miller Mill Company. He attended New Life Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Orlando Pittman.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Lee Pittman; four sisters, Catherine Yawn of Sarasota, and Lee Etta Reeves, Maxine Pittman and Flora Pittman, all of Brewton; an uncle, Elder Joe (Lee) Brantley of Evergreen; a brother-in-law, Tommy Hall Sr. of Tampa, Fla.; a special church brother, John (Louise) Bailey; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. at New Life Holiness Aphoristic Church with Elder Robert McWilliams officiating. Burial followed at Second Saint John Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
