Ms. Lela Grace Dubose Cook, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. She was a native of Brewton and had been a resident of Florida for the past 40 years.
She is survived by her nieces, Maggie Lewis-Butler (Dr, Robert Butler) of Tallahassee, Fla., Clara ‘Penny’ Harrison and Tara Dubose, both of Mobile, Lillie Alberta Ranaldson, Marcia Simpson and Serena Ranaldson, all of Pensacola, Resha Gadson (Ransom) of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Amy L. (William) Pittman of Atlanta, Ga.; her nephews, Ronald (Pamela) Lewis of Peoria, Ariz., Kenneth Lewis of New York, N.Y. and Mark Bert of Pensacola; a son, Donald Chappelle of Philadelphia, Penn.; grandsons, Kareem Chappelle of Oxford, N.C. an Charles Donald Chappelle of Stone Mountain; seven great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Robert M. Butler Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
