Robert Joe Miller

Mr. Robert Joe Miller, 57, of Brewton, died Wednesday Feb. 2, 2011 in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident. He was of the Baptist faith, a 1971 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, a member of New Wine Singing Group, and he owned and operated New Wine Trucking Corporation before retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alice Gibson Miller; four brothers, Buddy Miller, Arnold Miller, Henry Miller and Pete Miller; and a sister, Earnestine Lisenby.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Gail Smith Miller of Brewton; two brothers, Darrell Miller and Donnie Miller, both of Brewton; four sisters, Alicetine (Curt) Lisenby, Alma (Burns) Blackwell, and Betty Wooten, all of Brewton and Everlean (Paul) Lee of Flomaton; his father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Opal Smith of Brewton; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Doster and Patricia Miller; a brother-in-law, Jimmy (Kaye) Steele; a special uncle, Frank Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. George

Weaver and the Rev. Phillip Pettis officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
