Mrs. Alma Jean Payne, 72, died Sunday, March 27, 2011. She was a member of Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Judge Lee Payne II and Ruby Pearl Payne; and children, Jimmy Payne and Debra Addison.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Ingle) Payne of Baumgarten, Germany, Lorenzo Payne, Johnny Addison, and Mary (James) Stallworth, all of Brewton, Beverly (John) Winters of Forkland, Laura Martin of Lilburn, Ga., and Adrian Payne of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; her brothers and sisters, Louise Anderson, Helen Brown, Alice McPherson, John (Mary) Payne, Roy (Natalia) Payne, and Clayton Payne, all of Brewton, Glenn (Willie) Johnson of Evergreen, Clearance (Louise) Payne of Harker Heights, Texas, Linda Payne of Tuscaloosa, Judge III (Rose) Payne of Pensacola, and Mack (Maria) Payne of Puyallut, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; and other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, at 3 p.m. at Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Willie J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Old Springhill Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
