McCoy Jackson Sr., 79, of Ballard Street died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Uriah, a former resident of Pensacola, Fla., and a long time resident of East Brewton. He was of the Holiness faith, a former member of the American Legion, and a retired carpenter and maintenance shop employee from T.R. Miller Mill Company with 16 years of service. He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice Jones Jackson of East Brewton; two sons, McCoy Jackson Jr. of Brewton, and David Jackson of Damascus; two daughters, Terisa (Eddie Ray) Ryals of East Brewton, and Renee Nelson of Brewton; two brothers, Robert Jackson of Damascus, and Leroy Jackson of Pensacola; one sister, Irene Jackson Smith of Damascus; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning April 20, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earle Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Damascus Cemetery, in Damascus, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
