Ella Anglee Pettis Blair

Mrs. Ella Anglee Pettis Blair of Appleton Road died Thursday, May 12, 2011 in a Chattanooga, Tenn., hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, was an active member of the Central Church of Christ in Monroeville, an entrepreneur, and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, David M. Blair of Brewton; a son, Brad Blair of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Rebecca (David) Gebbie Sessions of LaFayette, Ga., and Belinda (Craig) Smelser of Winter Haven, Fla.; a sister, Ruthel (Grady) Palmer of Castleberry; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Blair, Jason Blair, Jon-David Blair, Percy David Sessions III, Leslie Johnson, Jessie Sessions, Nicholas Smelser, and Christopher Smelser;

four great-grandchildren, William Sessions, Caroline Sessions, Parker Blair, Jon-David Blair Jr.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Speaker Brad

Blair and Speaker Craig Smelser officiating. Burial followed in

Hanberry Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
