Mr. Roland Alan Tew, 79, died April 5, 2011. He was a native of Escambia County and long time resident of Japan. He was a graduate of W.S. Neal High School and attended Troy State Teachers College in Troy. He was a veteran of the U. S. Armed Forces for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Grace Tew Sr. and Jessie Spivey Tew; a sister, Anita Tew Alford.
He is survived by his wife, Toyoko Tew of Okinawa, Japan; five brothers, and sisters, including Raymond Grace Tew Jr. of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; Stephen Henry Tew of Annapolis, Md., Grace Tew Powers of Houston, Texas, Louise Tew South of Canton, Ga. and Patsy Tew of Stocktown, Calif.; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Services were arranged in Japan.
