Mrs. Doris Marie Beck Ramer, 74, of Tippens Eddy Road, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at a Mobile hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Wing and had been a resident of the Brewton area for eight years, coming from Baker, Fla. She was a seamstress and a member of Potters House Apostolic Church.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Ramer of Brewton; three sons, Ralph Nelson of Holt, Fla., Carlton Nelson of Tallahassee, Fla., and Frankie Nelson of Ocala, Fla.; five daughters, Carolyn Nelson of Detroit, Mich., Brenda Jean Nelson of Navarre, Fla., Wanda Marie Conway of Orlando, Sherry Smith of Brewton, and Pattie Pyne of Crestview, Fla.; one brother, Edward Beck of Crestview; two sisters, Virginia Beck of Baker, and Marilyn Beck of Tennessee; twenty six grandchldren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday June 21, at 1 p.m. at Red Oak Cemetery in Baker, with the Rev. Clyde Madden and the Rev. Stephen Pendleton offciating and Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
