Mr. Wayne Keith McCormick, 49, of Prattville, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at his residence. He was a native and long time resident of Brewton before moving to Prattville. He was an ordained minister with Assembly of God Church, a district manager with Business Systems and Consultants Inc., a graduate of W.S. Neal High School, Jefferson Davis Community College, and Ed Reid Technical College. He was preceded in death by a sister, Stephanie McCormick Puleo; and a nephew, Richard Wayne Terry.
He is survived by his parents, Pete and Peggy McCormick of Brewton; his wife of 26 years, Laura Dixon McCormick of Prattville; a son, Maxwell K. McCormick and a daughter, Meredith Ann McCormick, both of Prattville; one brother, Avery (Terry) McCormick of Mobile; one sister, Darlene (Richard) Terry of East Brewton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. today, (Thursday, June 30) from East Brewton First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jeff Scurlock and the Rev. Fred White officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
