Mrs. Nettie Jackson, 71, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011. She was a long time employee of D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Demetria (Herman Clifford) Nettles of Brewton, and Deloria ‘Dee Dee’ (Andrew) Tinsley of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Dominique Jackson and Andrewnique Tinsley, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Josi’AH Nettles and Jediki’AH Nettles, both of Brewton; brothers, Nathaniel (Betty) Nicholson Jr., Darryl Nicholson, Christopher (Riembre) Nicholson, Jackie Nicholson and Randy (Tonya) Nicholson; a sister, Maxine Boswell; aunts, Nellie A. Diggs, Mary Askew, Rheutelia Andrews, Essie Kate Gray, Flora Crowder and Willie Pearl King; a very special family friend, ‘Daddy’ Sanford Johnson and D.W. McMillan Hospital family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Presley-Fluker Funeral Home in Brewton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, at 3 p.m. at Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Andrews and the Rev. Paul Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
