Billie E. Madden

Billie E. Madden, 74, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 28, 2011. He was a native of Brewton, but resided in Saraland for 47 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved to hunt and fish and was devoted to his church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Louise Hammac Madden; two sisters, Nell Tindell and Orette McCall
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gladys Shell Madden; sons, Steven (Paula) Madden of Saraland; James (Valecia) Madden of Mobile; daughters, Tammie Madden of Maine; Connie (Kyle) Spence of Saraland; Karin Toler of Huntsville; five brothers, Jerome (Tootsie), Marvin (Libby), Ray (Doris), George (Jean) and Rankin (Garnett) Madden; two sisters, Faye Tanner (Terry Linton), Ella Ward; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends, and his dear canine friend “Precious.”
Funeral services were held at Pentecostals of Saraland on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at noon with the Reverend Shearer officiating. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements provided by Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 9700 Celeste Rd., Saraland, AL 36571.
