Brewton

Mrs. Dorothy Catherine Brooks Minchew, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in a local hospital after a extended illness. She was a native of Mobile, and a longtime resident of East Brewton. She was a member of the East Brewton Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Minchew of Brewton; two sons, Mike (Sheila) Minchew and Rick (Tammy) Minchew, both of Brewton; and three grandchildren, Julia Minchew, Bonnie Minchew and
Edmond Minchew.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. George Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
