John ‘Buddy’ Raymond Jones

John “Buddy” Raymond Jones, 76, of Santa Maria, Calif., died Oct. 6, 2011 at his home after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of Range and a long time resident of California. He was of the Baptist faith, a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean conflict as a military policeman in post war Germany during his service after which he was honorably discharged with honors. He was retired from Bergen Brunswick Pharmaceuticals Industry, as sales representative and manager with over 40 years of service. He was a memeber of the Masons (32nd degree), Elks Lodge, and Optimists Club.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Lucian Jones; his mother, Sena Samantha Cruthfield; and brothers, Andrew Crutchfield, James Hall, Paul Hall and Oneal Hall.

He is survived by one son, Raymond Carlton Jones of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Teresa Jones (Tom) Pawl of Santa Maria; two granddaughters, Hailey Lorraine Pawl and Olivia Nichole Pawl, both of Santa Maria; one sister, Evelyn Eileen ones (Daniel) Williams of California; one neice, Kimberly Kaye Williams of Mobile.

Funeral services will be held Saturday Oct. 15, 2011 at 11  a.m. at Range Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow in Ramah Cemetery Range, Alabama with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
