Mrs. Gennie Wiggins Nelson, 65, of Fleming Lane, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in a Blountstown, Fla.,  hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She attended Alco Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Kim Nelson (Tim) Morrison of Brewton; two step-sons, Sammy (Tammy) Nelson and Herbert Nelson, both of Brewton; three sisters, Willette Mitchem and Tammy Griswold, both of Milton, Fla., and Alice Faye Wheeler of Evergreen; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Morrison; and two step-grandchildren, Heather Nelson Sims and Brandon Nelson.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 14, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifton Mitchem officiating. Burial will follow in Spear Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
