Mary Mitchell Wilson

Mrs. Mary Mitchell Wilson, 64, died Nov. 29, 2011. She was a native of Castleberry and a former resident of New York, before moving back to Castleberry. She was a member of Belleville Missionary Baptist Church, employed by Steven Roberts for 40 years and employed by the Department of Transportation as a rest area attendant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Wilson.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn (Randall) Wiley and Melinda Straughn  of Augusta, Ga.; three sisters, Margaret Mitchell, Sheryln Carter, both of Castleberry, and Myrtis Ashford of Hillside, N.J.; four brothers, Glennie  Mitchell, Rocellus (Mary Ann) Mitchell, James E. Mitchell, all of Castleberry and Perman ‘Pete’ Mitchell of Pensacola; five granddaughters; three grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and a host of other friends and family.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Belleville Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. S.C. Tucker officiating.  Burial followed in the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
