Rebecca ‘Becky’ Chancery Johnson

Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Chancery Johnson, 64, of Pineview Cemetery Road, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011 in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Pineview, a member of Halls Creek Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, a member of Brewton Quilting Club, a founding member of Doug and Becky Johnson’s Blue Grass Gospel Radio Program for 10 years, and a retired assistant vice president of Escambia County Bank with more than 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, John Garvin Chancery; and a sister, Mary Ann Stuckey.
She is survived by her mother, Lettie Chancery of Pineview; her husband, Douglas Johnson of Pineview; two daughters, Phyllis Johnson Neal and Julie Johnson (Jarrod) Green, both of Pineview; a brother, Gene Chancery of Pineview; two sisters, Gayle Murphy of Pineview, and Marie Bedsole of Jay, Fla.; four grandchildren, Emily Pike, Sarah Neal, Olivia Neal and Addison Green; and one great-grandchild, Adrianna Pike.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Morris, Elder Jerry W. Williams, and Speaker/ nephew Waylon Stuckey officiating. Burial followed in Halls Creek Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Flomaton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
