William Earl Henderson

Mr. William Earl Henderson, 84 of, Brewton, died on December 18, 2011. He was a former resident of Jay, Fla. and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the former owner and operator of Henderson Auto Sales of Brewton. He taught Sunday school at Friendship Baptist Church in Flomaton for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Vollie Henderson; sisters, Arie Fowler, Lorene Hilton, and Emily Freeman and brothers, Ercy, Klein, and Robert Henderson.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Kathy) Henderson and Sandra (Wayne) Forbush; step-son, Bobby Powell; sister, Wavolene Daugett; grandchildren, Jonathan (Nashisha) Henderson, Elizabeth and Sarah Henderson, and Shelley (Chris) Holzworth; and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Mikaiah, Levi, Sophia, Grayson and Christopher.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Henderson and LTJG Jonathan Henderson officiating services. Burial followed at Jay City Cemetery with Jay Funeral Home directing.
