Willie Lee Davis

Mr. Willie Lee Davis, 77, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, in a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and had been a resident of Century for the past 70 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and had retired from St. Regis Paper after 35 years of service. He was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church and he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Geraldine Henderson Davis; his mother, Thelma Davis Weaver; and a granddaughter, Jeri Denise Davis.
He is survived by his children, Marilyn Rice, Billy (Karen) Davis, and Keith Davis, all of Century, Jackie (Jason) Thomas of Jay, Fla., Susan (Daniel) Macks of McKenzie; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte (Ted) Toop of Molino, Fla.; brothers, James (Charlene) Weaver of Poarch, and Carlton Weaver of Pensacola; and a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. at Faith Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Barrow, the Rev. Gene Stokes and
Speaker Ted Toop officiating. Burial followed in Byrneville Methodist Church Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Joe Brown, Marcus Godwin, Mike Hutto, Sam Weaver, Cliff Thompson and Mike Roesch. Honorary pallbearers were Randy
Murph, Wade Dundford and James White.
