Mrs. Tanya Marie Cox, 49, of Sevierville, Tenn., died January 6, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill, after a brief illness. She was a native of Flomaton, and had been a resident of Sevierville, for several months, coming from Rock Falls, Ill. She was self-employed as a pilot car escort for heavy equipment, a graduate of Century High School, and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Jan Edward Cox of Sevierville; her father, James (Joyce) Peacock of Brewton; her mother, Linda Peacock of Grand Bay; a son, Joey (Valerie) Carnley of Brewton; a step-son, Jason (Jan) Cox of Rock Falls, Ill.; a step-daughter, Janaey Cox of Milton, Wis.; a brother, Greg Peacock of Spanish Fort; a sister, Renea Peacock of Grand Bay; her grandchildren, Tennisson and Amberlyn Carnley of Brewton, and Haliegh and Brody Cox of Rock Falls, IIl.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until service time.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, at 10 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Richburg officiating. Burial will follow in Traveler’s Rest Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Chris Slater, Bruce Harmon, Eloy Martines, Jerry Carnley. Carl Lambeth and John Buesing.
