Thelma Olline Curtis Turner

Mrs. Thelma Olline Curtis Turner, 90, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native and former resident of Crestview, Fla., before moving to Brewton in 1940. She was a homemaker and a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.P. Turner; a son, Jackie Preston Turner; and a daughter, Ruby Jean Turner Findley.
She is survived by a son, Rex (Billie Anne) Turner of Brewton; a son-in-law, Russell (Verdie) Findley of East Brewton; a sister, Mary Frances Curran of Brewton; four grandchildren, David Turner of East Brewton, Donna (Randy) Mancil of Brewton, Michael Findley of Brewton, and Robby Findley of Albertville; three great-grandchildren, Krystal Mancil, Caitlin Turner and Christian Mancil; and other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Garrett officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
