“Johnson became a suspect in a case of theft involving medicine and about $16,500 worth of jewelry,” Casey said. “During our investigation, we were able to determine that Johnson had returned a small amount of jewelry after the theft occurred.”
Casey said the investigation into Johnson’s case, stemmed from a residential theft incident. Officers were able to locate Johnson and took him into custody without incident, he said.

Earlier in the week, Officer Nicholas Stanley and Sgt. William Mosley arrested Castleberry man on a variety of drug charges.

“The arrest was made during the traffic stop when our agents discovered drugs in the vehicle,” Casey said. “A search of the suspect also revealed he had drugs on his person.”
Sanders was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance – cocaine; first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Suspects were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center where they were booked on the charges against them.
