Burns Pete Cooper

Mr. Burns Pete Cooper, 77, of Appleton Road, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Conecuh County and a life long resident of Escambia County. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired millwright from Champion Paper Company with 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by three brothers, David Cooper, Howard Cooper and Malcom Cooper, and one sister, Alma Martin.
He is survived by two daughters, Ruthie Bell Cooper and Lorrie Carver, both of Brewton; two sons, Michael Cooper and Kenneth Cooper, both of Brewton; two brothers, Dewey (Lola) Cooper of Brewton, and Douglas (Carolyn Cooper of Castleberry; a sister-in-law, Faye Cooper of Brewton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ McDonald and the Rev. Terry Rowell officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
