Mr. Reginald Fitzgerald Williams, 47, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012. He was a native of Pensacola, Fla., a resident of Brewton, and a former resident of Dallas, Texas. He was a 1984 honor graduate of Southern Normal School and employed for 22 years with Marshall in Dallas. He returned to Brewton and worked at West Gate Village Nursing Facility. He was an active member of First St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church and did his initial sermon there in 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother, both sets of grandparents and two uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Williams; his children, Emily Williams and Justin Bradshaw; his father, Willie L. Williams; siblings, Scotty Riley, Kelvin Williams, Joseph (Kimberly) Williams, Pamela (Charles) Allen, Kizzie Williams, D’Jana Williams, Brandy Upsher, Linda Fitzpatrick, Debra Cusic and Willie D. Williams III; aunts, Barbara (David) Lee, Mary Jones, Clara White, Lois Williams, Rosa Mae McWhorter, Ethel Starlings, Minnie Riley and Carrie Jackson; uncles, Charles Riley, and Calvin Riley; his mother-in-law, Donte’ Nettles; a sister-in-law, Gwen Byers and a host of other friends and family.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at First St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Cheatham officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
