Mrs. Esther Mae Fuqua Halford, 98, of Mayo Street, died Monday, March 19, 2012 in a Pensacola, Fla. nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native of the Bethel community, and a long time resident of East Brewton. She was a member of the East Brewton Assembly of God Church and a housewife/homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Halford; an infant son and a grandchild.
She is survived by a son, Ed (Bonnie) Halford, Jr. of Cantonment, Fla.; four daughters, Mary (Lamar) McKissack, Patricia (H.B.) Harrelson, and Edna (Jerry) Owens, all of Pensacola, and Jean Gibbs of East Brewton; a brother, Alton Fuqua of Pensacola; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 21, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. David Shoffner and Brother Donnie Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
