Arthur K. ‘A.K.’ Williams

Mr. Arthur K. “A.K.” Willimas, 94, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at his residence in Panama City. He was a native of Evergreen, and a former resident of Brewton, and Pensacola, Fla., before moving to Panama City six years ago. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of Norris Lodge #301 and St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Pensacola. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Miriam Williams, two brothers, two sisters, and his parents.
He is survived by two sons, Robert “Bo” (Nancy) Williams of Panama City, Jim Williams and Jenny Daye of Pensacola; three grandsons, Lee Williams and Greg Williams, both of Panama City, and Dustin (Amber) Nims of Pensacola; a special step-granddaughter and caretaker Angela (Al) Kwiatkowski of Panama City and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen, with the Rev. Ron Headley officiating and Craver’s Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
