Mary Margaret Cook Logan
Mrs. Mary Margaret Cook Logan, 82, of Stallworth Street died Monday, June 11, 2012 in a local hospital after brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, was a member of the Brewton First Baptist Church, a member of the last graduating class of Damascus High School, former chairman of the Escambia County Board of Registrars and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jack D. Logan; two daughters, Jackie (Herb) Kennedy of Monroeville and Joan (Winston) Lindsey of Brewton; one sister, Ronice C. Thames of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Kennedy of Dothan, Kimberly Lindsey (John) Pettis and Heather Lindsey (David) Jennigns, both of Brewton, five great-grandchildren, Abbie Kate Kennedy, Stokes Jennings, Lindsey Jennings, Bracken Pettis and Logan Pettis.
Visitation were held Wednesday, June 13 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Brewton First Baptist Church with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jon Finklea and the Rev. Jack Fitts officiating. Burial followed in Brooklyn Cemeter with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
