Claude Elvin Pettis
Mr. Claude Elvin Pettis, 83, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of Escambia County, before moving to Theodore, in 1969. He was a member of Hanberry Holiness Church and a retired truck driver from Delchamps Grocery Stores.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Pettis of Theodore; a son, Mitchell (Debra) Pettis of Mobile; a daughter, Kay (Bobby) Moffett of Mobile; three brothers, Howard (Ella Max) Pettis and Coley Pettis, both of Mobile, and
Allen (Betty) Pettis of Brewton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will held Friday Oct. 19, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. David Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Hanberry Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
