Eloise Vernell Gibson Dubose
Mrs. Eloise Vernell Gibson Dubose, 79, of Frazier Street, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Castleberry, and a long time resident of East Brewton. She was a member of Damascus Assembly of God Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas Dubose; a brother, Bobby Gibson; and a child, Jackie Gibson.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy (Lena Mae) Dubose of Bay Minette; a daughter, Angie (Claude) Hadley of Brewton; one brother, Leo Gibson of Brewton; two sisters, Betty Haveard of Brewton, and Lucy Crawford of East Brewton; seven grandchildren, Tammy (Tim) Gray, Tonya (Daniel) Jandran, David (Amanda) Dubose, Tameka Dubose, C.J. Hadley, Samantha Hadley and Dale Hadley; 12 great-grandchildren; other children, Jerry Salter, Mike Salter, Horace Gibson, and Phillip Gibson; and a special daughter-in-law, Eleta Drawbaugh.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 31, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Welch and Pastor Gwennette Lindsey officiating. Burial followed in Damascus Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
