Holmes Jerome Allen

Mr. Holmes Jerome Allen, 60, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. He was a native of Escambia County, Ala., where he attended public school and later joined the United States Armed Forces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Elliott Allen; one sister, Lula Ree Holmes; one brother, Clarence McCreary, Jr.
He is survived by one daughter, Kriste Allen; two sons, Charles (Denise) Roach and Eric (Charity) Elliott; his mother, Mary Emma Spears; three grandchildren, Krisalyn Jackson, Keshaun Roach and Eric Elliott, Jr.; his siblings, Mary Janice Peters, Minnie Jewel Likely, JoAnn Williams, Lonnie Ray (Marjorie) McCreary, Rose McCreary, Robert Earl McCreary and Sammy Lee (Miranda) McCreary; aunts, Essie Bell Robinson, Carolyn Samuel, Vela Mae Harris, Elouise Square, Meada Nearer and Patricia Allen; one uncle, Rochelle Allen; a loyal friend, Williams King; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at the Little Brooklyn Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Gray officiating. Interment followed in the Little Brooklyn Baptist Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
