Rachel Naomi Jones

Mrs. Rachel Naomi Jones, 89, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in a Pensacola, Fla. health care facility. She was a native of McKenzie and had been a resident of Castleberry and Baldwin County, prior to moving to Pensacola in 2006. She worked as a seamstress at Vanity Fair for a number of years and was a member of Castleberry United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. James C. Jones; a brother, Earl Crum; and two sisters, Effie May Walker and Berthie Rea Horton.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Nona) Jones of Perdido and Tommy (Sharon) Jones of Castleberry; one daughter, Sheila Smith of Pensacola; two brothers, Jesse Crum of Little Rock Ark. and Roland Creamer of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Velma Ryland of Bermuda; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvin Blackburn officiating. Interment followed in Holland Cemetery.
