Mrs. Marie Thompson Quates

Mrs. Marie Thompson Quates, 64, a resident of Deatsville, Ala., died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013.
Mrs. Quates was a member of Bible Believers Baptist Church. She was a former member of Victory Baptist Church, where she taught kindergarten for thirty-four years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Evelyn Thompson; one sister, Jackie Forsyth.
She is survived by her husband, Don Quates; two sons, Terry (Tracey) Quates and Jeremy (Penelope) Quates; one daughter, Keri (Steve) Littlefield; five grandchildren, Jacob Holmes, Jadon Quates, Pierson Quates, Alexia Littlefield and Dylan Littlefield; four sisters, Elaine Wilson, Lois Crenshaw, Sheila Womble and Myra Corbin.
Pallbearers were Kyle Corbin, Gary Womble, Ted Wilson, Glen Coleman, Joey Byrd and Jimmy Nichols; honorary pallbearers were Chris Quates and Luke Clayton.
Visitation was held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m.
Funeral services were held at Victory Baptist Church on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Pullen and Pastor Steve Sanders officiating. Interment followed at Brookside Cemetery with Ridout’s-Brown-Service of Prattville, Ala., directing.
