Henry S. Hill

Mr. Henry S. Hill, 88, of Brewton died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, in a local hospital.
Mr. Hill was born in Russellville and had been a resident of Brewton since 1950, coming from Greenville. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, and owned and operated Henry S. Hill Jewelers for 34 years. He was a 60-year member of the Lions club, and has been a member of First United Methodist Church of Brewton since 1950.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Cathline M. Hill of Brewton; two daughters, Pamela Hill (Jerry) Jones of Clanton and Brenda Hill (Bob) sinners of Marion, N.C.; one sister, Martha Hill Tubbs of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Emily Jones (Stephen) Gentry of Auburn, Whitt Jones of Clanton, and Robert Alexander Sinners of Washington, D.C.; one great-grandchild, Braden Lee Gentry of Auburn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at First United Methodist Church of Brewton on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church of Brewton on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Jones, Whitt Jones, Bob Sinners, Steve Layton, Ronnie Fuqua and Sam Mims.
