Farmer’s market, 5K, Rock the Dock on tap this weekend
Brewton will be busy this weekend, with events scheduled Saturday and Sunday.
The Choo-Choo Farmer’s Market begins at 7 a.m. at Jennings/Burnt Corn Creek Park downtown, with vendors selling local produce as well as gifts and homemade items — some of which might make great Christmas presents.
Also Saturday, Brewton First Baptist Church’s CLAIM student ministry is hosting a Turkey Trot 5K and fun run at the church, with winning runners earning not only a trophy but a Thanksgiving turkey. To read more about the event and registration information, click here.
On Sunday, The Hourglass will hold its second “Rock the Dock” event, with local musicians invited for an open mike opportunity as residents also bring food and drinks for a potluck meal. Rock the Dock will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the loading dock at The Hourglass and is part of this month’s Brewton Reborn activities.
