The 2014 AHSAA state football playoffs are just a little over two weeks away and both T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal will be in them.
While things are not officially set for everyone, TRM has clinched the No. 2 seed in class 3A region 1 behind Opp. W.S. Neal will either be the No. 3 seed in the playoffs or the No. 4 seed in class 4A region 1. If WSN wins over Southside-Selma this week, they are No. 3. If they lose and Thomasville defeats Clarke County, they will be the No. 4.
More than likely, WSN will get the No. 3 seed and will match up with the No. 2 seed out of region four. That looks to be Northside.
For T.R. Miller, the Tigers will face the No. 3 seed in region four and that will be the winner of the Lamar County at Greensboro game this week. The two teams are currently tied. The winner will be the No. 3 seed in the region while the loser will be the No. 4 seed.
The Super 7, as it is now called instead of the Super 6, will be played at Auburn University Dec. 4-6.
We will take a closer look at this later once everything is officially sorted out, but that is where we are as of now.
