Mr. John Brock McCreary, 75, passed away Tues., Nov. 13, 2018.
Mr. McCreary was born in Mobile, and had been a long-time resident of Brewton. He was a graduate of Conecuh County High School. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and worked for Greyhound as a bus driver for 24 years. He was a member of the Brewton American Legion Post, and Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mr. McCreary was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Wilson McCreary and Lois Brock McCreary; his son, James Brock McCreary; the mother of his children, Jennifer May McCreary; and his grandmother, Anna Elizabeth McCreary.
He is survived by his wife of more than 10 years, Annette Sims McCreary of Brewton; two daughters, Anna (Billy) McKinnon of Milton, and Allison (Tom) Dunn of Saint Marys, Ga.; step-sons, Phillip (Tracy) Blackmon of Montgomery, Jayson (Melanie) Blackmon of Castleberry; a step-daughter, Vicki (Owen) Milligan of Brewton; brother, Wilson McCreary of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Jane (Robert) Ellington of Evergreen; and 12 grandchildren.
A funeral service were held at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Fri.,, Nov. 16, 2018 at 11 a.m.. with the Rev. Jim Blair officiating.
Visitation was held at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Friday from 10 a.m.. until 11 a.m.
