Mr. James “Jimmie” Pressley Carden, 80,  of Flomaton, Ala., passed away Sat., Jan. 25, 2020, after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala. Mr. Carden was a member of the Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, a graduate of Flomaton High School, and was the owner/operator of Carden Custom Built Homes, and he enjoyed fishing.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Carden and Elsie Ruth Carden.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Marie Holt Carden of Flomaton; two daughters, Cathy (James) Grantham of Brewton and Brandy (Chris) White of Flomaton; a brother, Jack (Linda) Carden of Jay, Fla.; two sisters, Bobby (Sonny) Chavers of Brewton and Linda Eddins of Opelika, Ala.; four grandchildren, Courtney Carnley, Jordan Grantham, Hunter White, Mackenzie White

Visitation was held Tues., Jan. 28, 2020,  from 6PM until 8PM at Williams Memorial Funeral Home Chapel of Brewton.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Wed.,  Jan. 29, 2020,  at 2PM at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Burnham officiating.

Interment will follow in Catawba Springs Cemetery Brewton, Alabama with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala. directing.
