Mrs. Maudell Raines Blackmon, 91, passed away Mon., Jan. 27, 2020, at a Monroeville health care facility.

Mrs. Blackmon was born in Conecuh County, Ala. and had lived in Castleberry most of her life.  She worked at Vanity Fair for a number of years.  She loved her flowers, her family and cooking. Along with her husband, she attended Oak Grove Holiness Church for a number of years.

Mrs. Blackmon was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Blackmon; her parents, Sam and Nannie Raines; her brothers, Charlie Raines, and Rufus “Pete” Raines; sisters, Odie Baggett, Margie Gilmore, Rosella “Toucha” Baggett; Ollie “Pat” Anthony, Willie Brown, and Agnes Powell.

Mrs. Blackmon is survived by a daughter Norma (Paul) White of Castleberry; two granddaughters, Kristie (Larry) Ingram, and Angela (Jason) Flowers; four great-grandchildren, Duane Flowers, Dawson Flowers, Katherine Ingram, and William Ingram.

A time of visitation was held at Oak Grove Holiness Church on Thurs., Jan. 30, 2020, from 10AM until 11AM.

Funeral services were held on Thurs., Jan. 30, 2020, at 11AM at Oak Grove Holiness Church with Bro. Jeff Harris officiating.

Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Pallbearers:  Larry Ingram, Jason Flowers, Duane Flowers, Donald Janes, Ronnie Martin, and Ronnie Fountain.
