Mr. Joseph William “Joe” Younce, age 87 of Cricket Lane in Brewton, passed away Tues.,  Feb. 25, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Younce was a native of Hickory, N. C. and a longtime resident of Brewton.  He was a retired branch manager for Borden’s Milk Company with 30 plus years of service and attended the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Mr. Younce enjoyed nature including watching deer, racoons and turkeys and also dearly loved his cats, T.J., Jasper and Footsie.

He is survived by his wife of 64 1/2 years, Dorothy “Dot” Younce of Brewton; daughter, Susan (Jimmy) Ledford of Tallahassee, Fla.; nephew, Phillip Oehling of Hickory, N.C., a grandson of his heart, Ekow Essabra-Mensah; and other family members and friends.

A time of visitation was held Sat. ,Feb. 29, 2020 from 12 until 2PM at Craver’s Funeral Home, Inc.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph William “Joe” Younce was held Sat., Feb. 29, 2020, at 3PM from the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Brewton with Brother Larry Hampton officiating.

Graveside services followed at Union Cemetery in Brewton with Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala. directing.

Pallbearers:  Jimmy Ledford, Daniel Duncan, Charlie Brown, William Minchew, Larry Long, Jody Cox.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Gene Roberts, Phillip Oehling.
