JOHN BOSE KOLDEWEY
BREWTON, ALA.
Mr. John “Jay” Bose Koldewey, 62, of Brewton, Ala., passed away Monday, Mar. 23, 2020, in a Birmingham, Ala., hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Jacksonville, Fla., and a long time resident of Brewton. Mr. Koldewey was of the Episcopalian Faith, a 1975 graduate of T.R. Miller High School, and a Home Building Contractor. Jay enjoyed family, construction, fishing, golf and other hobbies.
He is survived by his mother, Joy Dasinger; beloved companion, Brandy Johnson, and her children Ashley, Cody, Logan, and Jakob; daughter, Kristin Koldewey; son, Alex Koldewey; sister, Ruthie Mc-Carty; brothers, Michael A. (Aleta) Dasinger, II, Brian (Amanda) Dasinger, Thomas Dasinger, Steven (Suzy) G. Dasinger and Matthew Koldewey; step-mother, Lorraine Koldewey; a special aunt and uncle, Jacque and Jim Wright; (18) nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, friends, and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Bose Koldewey, Sr.; his stepfather, Dr. Michael A. Dasinger.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Dasinger-Pope Cemetery Smuteye, Union Springs, Ala., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala., directing.
