BREWTON, ALA.
Cillar Lee Davis, affectionately known as “Cill-Lee” was born January 13, 1951 in Brewton to Nancy L. Nelson and Tommy Lee Williams. Cillar attended W.S. Neal High School.
She departed this life on Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Montgomery, Ala., surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Cillar was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Williams and Clarence Nelson.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She later married the late Marvin Wayne Davis Sr. and moved her membership to Second St. John Baptist Church which she loved until the day God called her home. There, she was a dedicated Senior Usher.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories four children, Amanda (Alden) Kirby of Atlanta, Ga., Marvin Wayne Jr. (Regina) Davis of Montgomery, Ala., Brad Davis and Tonya Davis, both of Brewton; five sisters, Dorothy Ann (Willie James) Jackson, Sandra Floyd, both of Brewton, Josephine Norman of Atmore, Ala., Sarah Louise (Floyd) Mobley and Yolanda Denise Nelson, both of Brewton; two brothers, Louis Ray Nelson and Chester (Felecia) Nelson, both of Brewton; grandchildren, Sequoia Kirby, Christopher Kirby, Tristian Davis, Tyson Davis, Jalen Forester, Jordan Forester, Beonca Davis, Rheyanna Davis, Michael Caleb Whitacre, Asia Davis, Precious Howard and Paris Howard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Ms. Davis was held Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 11AM at Presley-Fluker Funeral Chapel with Pastor Danny Benjamin Officiating.
Interment immediately followed the funeral service at St. John Church Cemetery (Springhill Community) East Brewton, Ala.
Professional care and final arrangements were entrusted to Presley-Fluker Funeral Directors of Evergreen, Ala.
