Betty June Calhoun of Dixonville, Fla., went to her Heavenly home Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Betty was born June 26, 1938 to Ira and Nona Calhoun.
She worked for K-Mart Corp-oration as an office clerk for 26 years before retiring in June 2000. After retirement Betty pursued many interests. She loved dancing and was an active member of The Twin Creek Cloggers of Brewton for many years. She loved helping others and always made herself available if anyone needed a ride to the doctor or other appointments. Football was her favorite sport and her favorite team was The University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide. During the winter you could find her crocheting, reading or doing word puzzles.
Betty is survived by her three children who will forever remember her love. Her daughter Pat Clark (Charles) of Jacksonville, Fla., sons Ken Pittman of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Roger Pittman (Debra) of Huntsville; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother, John Calhoun (Mae) of East Brewton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Because of the Corona Virus pandemic a celebration of life memorial service will be planned at a future date.
