W.S. Neal falls in playoff action

The W.S. Neal Eagles traveled to Wedowee to take on Randolph County in the first round of AHSAA playoffs. The Eagles entered the playoff season with a 7-3 overall record with a 5-3 record in region 3A play coming in at #3 in region competition.

The Eagles would outscore the Randolph County team throughout the first half of play maintaining the lead throughout.

As the clock ticked down to end the first half of play, the Eagles would take their 36 to 13 lead to the locker room.

As the second half of the game unfolded, it would be a quick back-and-forth game between the two teams. It would be late in the fourth quarter before Randolph County would be able to take the lead over the Eagles by a 42-36 score.

Randolph County would get the ball again and find the end zone to widen the lead to 48-36.

As the clock ticked down to finish the game, the Eagles would find themselves defeated in the first round of playoffs.
