Even water needs to be maintained from time to time, and the City of Brewton Utilities Department is ready for the job.
Maintenance on the water tanks owned by the city will begin on Monday with the Alco water tank being the first on the list of tanks to be serviced.
Madden said customers in the areas served by each tank may experience some change in their water service during the servicing of the tanks.
Madden said tanks will be drained on the Sunday before the work begins on the tank on Monday. The draining period may be the time when customers experience the low pressure he said.
With the Alco Tank being the first on the service list, work is scheduled to begin March 5 and continue through March 9.
Other tanks and scheduled service are: Industrial Park Tank - Mar. 12-16; North Tank - Mar. 19-23; and Hospital Tank - Mar. 26-30.
Any changes in procedures or schedules will be announced at the time of the change.
