James Henry “Jimmy” Gorum

Mr. James Henry “Jimmy” Gorum, 56, of Pineview Street, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at a local hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Covington County, and a long-time resident of McKenzie, before moving to Brewton in 1986.
He was an honorary member of the Brewton Lions Club and a member of the Appleton Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Syble Campbell Gorum and a brother, Edward Gorum.
He is survived by his sister, Charlotte (Mike) Powell of Bay Minette; three brothers, Bobby (Glenda Jane) Gorum of Omaha, Neb., Shelby (Shirley) Gorum of Gantt, and Jerry (Donna) Gorum of Red Level; five nieces; four nephews; special friends, Dewey, Keith and Chad Cooper and Frank Barnes.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Chad Cooper officiating. Burial followed at Brooks Baptist Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
