TRM girls extend winning streak to 23-0

The Lady Tigers are still taking care of business, as they still remain undefeated for the season.

The Lady Tigers took on the Hillcrest Lady Jaguars on the road Saturday. The road trip for the tigers resulted in a 69-35 victory.

Alijah Fountain, Janazsia Nettles, and Kyla Bell-Barton combined for 54 points as they scored 18 points a piece. Fountain had a double-double along with her 18 points she had five rebounds, ten steals, and three assists.

Bell-Barton also had a double-double along with her 18 points as she grabbed 14 rebounds, two steals, two assists, and one block. Nettles added one rebound, four steals, and one assist with her 18 points.

Valerie Samuel and Steely Ruzic combined for 12 points. Samuel also grabbed four rebounds, two steals, and six assists. Ruzic grabbed four rebounds, seven steals, and three assists. Ravion Ewing chipped in three points, three rebounds, one steal, and one assist.

“Hillcrest came out and played hard,” said coach Ronald Jackson.

“We played some exception defense and shot the 3-ball well in the first half, and we just fought to win,” said Jackson.
